SPARROW
The Sparrow is a state of the art e-bike system designed to change the way commuters think of their daily commute, elevating it from something that is a mindless chore into an engaging and sought after part of the day. Cycling encourages new thought patterns that promote feelings of calm and well-being. Cycling also relieves tension and stress, boosts mental and physical energy levels and can help combat anxiety. By eliminating the need for the direct return of rideshare bikes to their corresponding charging hubs, which are often inconveniently located from someone’s jobsite, we allow bike commuters to show a higher degree of commuting control and arrival-time reliability.
An internal gyroscopic motor and accompanying external Lidar scanners and infrared cameras allow for the Sparrow to auto-home to any nearest charging hub after a completed trip. The Sparrow will also come to you if you are not within a specific proximity to a nearby charging station.
The Sparrow is a Class 2 e-bike, employing pedal assist and throttle actuated acceleration to speeds of up to 28 mph. The primary frame is constructed from 7005 Aluminum Alloy for maximum corrosion resistance and weight reduction. A 7.2” anti-glare touchscreen ECU allows for smartphone pairing and optimal guidance and location systems. The power source is a Panasonic 18650 lithium-ion battery cluster for maximum power (52V, 17AH, 1000W) output and longevity. Nitinol interwoven 700c rubber tires allow for maximum durability and eliminate the need for air refills. The wheel diameter emulates that of the Citi Bike profile at 26” with a 2” thickness. The Sparrow has an overall length of 70”, an overall height of 40”, a handlebar width of 25” and a pedal width of 17” end to end. An adjustable seat with a range of 6” allows for a high degree of accessibility and adjustable rear pannier rack with 2 modular saddle bags (15” x 2.5” x 12”) cater to a range of cargo transportation needs. The rear hub motor utilizes a rubber belt drive, reducing weight, increasing smoothness of operation and durability.
